The bottom line is we don't need a ton of power when we're out hunting deer. A 1-4×32 riflescope is perfectly fine for hunting among the brush.

If you are planning on hunting in close cover, you will want either a low-power fixed scope, such as a 4X or a variable that goes down to 3.5X.
It is, fundamentally, a good quality scope, far better than the cheap Tasco (and equivalent) 4x scopes that you commonly see in the display case at Wally-World. (Good 4x scopes are getting kind of thin on the ground.) Even though it is more expensive, I feel that the I.O.R. Valdada 4x32mm represents a better value in the long run.
Leupold VX Freedom 3-9x40mm riflescope. Leupold. Leupold's VX-1 and VX-2 were two of the most popular and best budget hunting scopes around. The VX-1 cost less and was a solid scope, but the VX.

The only thing I would add is it does depend on where you are hunting. Any place your shots are going to be less than 150 yards the fixed 4 power scope is king. If you are talking about 375 yards or less then a 3×9 power variable is best. Beyond that, in my opinion, you need a sniper rifle and sniper scope.
A scope with these numbers is excellent for hunters, target shooters, and for all who want to get a perfect shot at 10-300 yard distance. Keep.
For hunters who prefer a scope that features premium quality, great precision, and clarity, this model by Trijicon is a good option to consider. It won't be any good for long-range hunting and can feel a little costly to some but for its particular purpose, it is one of the best 308 scopes you can get this year.
Get out there and shoot it. For now, let's get on with the top picks for scopes for our shotgun. 1. BUSHNELL TROPHY RED DOT SCOPE. This scope is an all around winner. It comes in camo or matte black, it's lightweight, not too expensive, but it's durable and gets the job done.
Crushunt 4×32 Acog. The crushunt scope has created a good demand in the market as it holds some sophisticated and highly useful features. The scope comes with a good lens and delivers a vivid and clear field of view. The best thing is it is well designed to be used by beginners as well as professional hunters and shooters.
A good hunting scope should achieve a light transmission of 90% or higher, though few manufacturers quote an actual figure. In general, a larger objective lens will capture more light than a small one, though there are limits.
Some scopes will be specified as 4X32, for example. The 4X is a fixed magnification – 4 times larger than with.
Specifications: Konus Pro Rifle Scope 4x 32mm Adjustable Objective 30-30 Reticle. All ratings are relative to similar products, final rating is not mathematically derived from the preceding ratings. The picture is a tad cloudy and dull, but for a $65 scope it's not bad at all. The scope functions just fine.
SNIPER Compact Rifle Scope Review – 4×32 Summary. Thanks for reading my review of the SNIPER 4×32 compact riflescope. No scope is without its flaws, but for the money youíll spend on this scope, the flaws are negligible at best. The scope provides excellent magnification (but regrettably has no zoom capability), and is easy to sight in.
Of all the 4x scopes I've owned or used, which include Leupold, Weaver and several others, I'd rate Meopta's Artemis 2000 4×32 the best of them. Re: Best 4X fixed hunting scope [ Re: 4winds ] #12310037 10/03/17. Joined: Oct 2014. Posts: 1,760. MS.
It's perfectly suitable for deer and elk hunting, though, as long as you remember that your crosshairs are covering approximately 10″ of the animal from 100.
The ACOG 4×32 is a proven combat optic and is widely used by military forces. It is incredibly tough, impeccably clear, astoundingly waterproof, and doesn't rely upon batteries for reticle illumination. The scope is great for short to medium-range tactical applications, hunting, competitions, and defense.
In terms of power, being magnification, the 4-7×20 will be more powerful. However, the 4×32 will have a better image due to the much larger objective.

The other number (after the X)is the size of the front lense in milimeters. Therefor a 4X32 scope is one that magnifies the image four times and the front lense is 32mm wide.
In the whitetail woods, there is one truth that not many hunters realize or accept — a 4X optic is the best choice. Call it the Goldilocks solution. Consider.
Sometimes, the rifle platform dictates the optic. With more hunters picking up straightwall rifle and pistol-caliber cartridges for deer and hog hunting (.350 Legend, .450 Bushmaster, .44 Magnum, and a few more in that crowd), the need for a scope that can put you on a deer tick at 250 yards is simply overkill. Money better spent on good ammo.

The 4×32 scope is a great choice for long-range shooting and precision shooting. The 3-9×40 is a good choice for general shooting and hunting.
